About The Position

Capital Paving and Construction is a heavy highway and civil construction company that provides quality work, experience, reliability, and safety records to construct projects on time and on budget. We are looking for experienced Civil Construction Labor/Operators to work at our highway, bridge, and earthwork projects throughout Missouri. To be successful in this position, candidates must possess the ability to: Maintain a good attitude and focus on performing tasks safely. Follow directions of a supervisor for daily tasks, requirements, and expectations. Operate heavy equipment with varying types, sizes, and weights such as: Backhoes, excavators, bulldozers, graders, skid steers, off road & on road dump trucks, water trucks, rollers, brooms, and other equipment. Equipment activities may include clearing & cleanup, demolition, utility pipelaying, earthwork excavation and embankment including rock excavations, stone & base construction, and other activities. Perform general labor duties as necessary and other duties as assigned. Perform pre and post shift inspections and logs and notify supervision of major problems. Assist in minor maintenance of equipment. Prior Intelligent Equipment Experience including Leica and Trimble Systems is a plus.

Requirements

Reliable transportation and willingness to travel with some overnights possible.
Minimum 3-5 years experience working on civil construction bridge and highway projects.
Ability to work outside in all types of weather conditions including hot and cold temperatures and humidity.
Knowledge of proper use of equipment, materials, and supplies used on construction projects.
Ability to properly follow company policies and OSHA/MSHA requirements for safe working procedures and environments.
Willingness to undergo a background check, physical, drug, and alcohol testing.

Nice To Haves

Prior Intelligent Equipment Experience including Leica and Trimble Systems is a plus.
