About The Position

Seeking Registered Nurse Lactation Consultant! Baptist Health Floyd, Lactation Clinic Full-time (32 Hours Weekly), Days Benefit Eligible Job Duties: The lactation consultant is a member of the Mother-Baby team who provides consultation and hands on assistance to mothers related to breast feeding initiation/sustainment in both the inpatient and outpatient setting (prenatally and beyond discharge from the hospital.) The lactation consultant is responsible for initiating a plan of care to provide consistent and evidence-based practice interventions. The lactation consultant provides staff training in lactation support and gives direction by mentoring to nursing and allied health staff at the bedside. Requirements

Current Indiana or compact state RN license
BLS for Healthcare Providers required.
NRP certification required (obtained within 6 months of hire).
IBCLC certification required.
Previous nursing experience required.
