Lactation Counselor (RN) - Perinatal Services - Part time
About The Position
We are currently hiring for a part time Lactation Counselor (RN) within the Perinatal Services department here at Aspen Valley Health. Work Shift: Days - 12 Hour Compensation Range: $39.26 - $62.82 Night and weekend shift differentials up to $10 per hour! The compensation range listed is an estimate. Final compensation will be determined based on your qualifications including years of experience performing similar work, level of formal education in a relevant field of study, and any professional certifications related to the position. The Lactation Counselor RN provides and promotes lactation services at Aspen Valley Hospital utilizing evidence-based practice including coordinating the care of the breast-feeding mother, providing support and information to nursing mothers, and serving as a resource to staff RNs on topics related to lactation. Must be competent to provide care as the primary nurse working under minimal supervision and to initiate resuscitation
Requirements
- Associate degree in Nursing (ADN)
- Unrestricted license to practice as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the State of Colorado, or ability to obtain prior to start date
- Basic Life Support (BLS). May be obtained upon hire.
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program Advanced Provider (NRP)
- International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC)
- At least 1 year of experience as a perinatal RN
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor's (BSN) or Master's (MSN) in Nursing preferred.
- IBCLC preferred, or must be obtained within five years of start date.
- Experience with EPIC preferred.
- Bilingual in Spanish preferred.
