About The Position

Atlas Molded Products is seeking a Lamination Specialist/Utility Leader on 1st Shift for the Gainesville, GA Facility.   Candidate must be able to read a tape measure, be reliable, and pass a drug screen and background check. General understanding of the manufacturing processes, quality standards, equipment operations, safety requirements and departmental procedures. Direct lamination personnel to ensure orders are produced in a timely fashion and adhere to safety and quality standards in accordance with company policies and applicable laws. Must be able to work independently and lead employees within a small group to ensure lamination schedule and quality standards are met and report issues to supervisor. Support the needs and direction of the Sr. Lead and Supervisor and be a backup for the Sr. Lead in their absence.  Operate and set up equipment in the Lamination Department. Perform various data collection functions in PeopleSoft (ERP). Maximize yield and reduce scrap. Report department metrics. Verify order information and produce part(s) with the correct material, density, weight, size, and/or shape within quality tolerance to meet customer specifications while meeting productivity standards. 

Requirements

  • Must be able to read a tape measure
  • Must be reliable
  • Must pass a drug screen and background check
  • General understanding of the manufacturing processes, quality standards, equipment operations, safety requirements and departmental procedures.
  • Must be fluent in the English language, both written and spoken.
  • Must be able to use simple math and use basic hand-held measuring tools.
  • Must be computer literate; Excel, Word, Outlook, ERP systems

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience in a manufacturing / industrial environment preferred.
  • Prior supervisory/lead experience preferred.
  • Directly or indirectly leading or managing others.
