About The Position

A Land Compliance Coordinator is responsible for reviewing BSEE and EPA required plans, ensuring unbiased observations, verifying correction of deficiencies, conducting site safety visits, and working with government agencies for various offshore facilities.

Requirements

This position is working at a customer’s office located in Scott, LA working a 5/2 M-F 40-hour per week work schedule.
No housing is available so must live within a 50-mile radius to the office and commute.
5+ years of offshore oil and gas industry experience and familiarity with BSEE/USCG/EPA safety, environmental testing, BSEE testing including PSV's and related programs required.
An I&E background preferred but must have a strong compliance background as well.
Experience testing Fire and Gas devices, subsea safety valve testing, etc.
Good organizational skills are necessary along with the ability to multi-task.
Excellent writing skills are required.
Strong interpersonal skills are required.
Proficiency in Smart BSEE compliance reporting system and MS Office and other related software required.
Should be familiar with production equipment.
High School diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

Review BSEE and EPA required plans, procedures, diagrams, and manuals referenced on the Compliance Checklist for various offshore facilities.
Ensure that all observations are unbiased and made independently of production operations.
Verify all deficiencies are corrected from the last inspection done.
Conduct site safety visits on well work projects, lift boats, drilling rigs, and decommissioning projects.
Conduct accidents, incidents, spills, near misses, and other special investigations as requested.
Extensively working with government agencies (USCG, BSEE).
Review lockout/tagout of long-term and temporary equipment.
Ensure all identification signs are in the proper places as referenced in the Compliance Checklist.
Cross-reference platform downtime with device testing that requires shut-ins to ensure that the testing is being done as noted in the BSEE worksheets.
Participate in the daily safety meeting, as applicable, and discuss relevant SEMS and compliance topics and answer SEMS-related questions.
Assess each operator who does safety device testing by visually watching them do tests on random equipment and report observations.
Test operators on SEMS by asking where plans, policies, and procedures are located.
Complete Compliance Checklist and review it with the applicable PIC and field foreman.
Submit Checklist to the email distribution identified by the HSE Supervisor.
