What you’ll do Assist Land Development Managers to achieve timely entitlement planning approvals of land use & zoning, preliminary & final plats, permitting, engineering & landscape plans, and so forth Work closely with multi-disciplined consultant teams and governmental authorities to implement development plans and meet deadlines Support the Project Managers with the engineering process including civil, landscaping, and utility drawing approvals Maintain appropriate records of approvals, engineering plans, and permits for multiple development sites Build and maintain positive relationships within the organization and with contractors, municipalities, agencies, and our own team of Builders Assist the Land project and/or Development Managers in reviewing engineering and landscape designs to meet schedules Process subdivision, utility, and pre-servicing agreements Manage the procurement of construction, engineering, landscaping and other consultant services, including generation of bid packages and bid awards A/P related duties to include the bid process, contracting, change orders, pay applications, and close-out Process contracts, change orders, and pay applications, to include updates of accounting software and budgets Manage letters of credit, performance bonds and certificate of occupancy hold agreements Pursue bond exonerations upon the completion of land development activities Assist with project scheduling, budgeting, and other financial management Answer phones and perform various administrative tasks for manager and land team Perform other related duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Land Planning, Construction Management, Law, Business, Finance or related field preferred, but not required
  • Experience in the homebuilding and land development industry preferred, but not required
  • Demonstrated analytical ability and problem-solving skills
  • Extensive knowledge in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, & Outlook
  • Very strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills with the ability to meet hard deadlines
  • Self-motivated with ability to work well on a team
  • Ability and willingness to learn and grow professionally
  • Excellent project coordination skills in assisting team’s work efforts
  • Detail oriented, strong communicator, and team player

Responsibilities
