Land Development Intern - Summer 2026
About The Position
VHB's midtown Atlanta office is seeking a Land Development Intern to join our team for Summer 2026. Interns will work on civil engineering projects and will learn technical skills and computation software . Our Atlanta Land Development team works with private real estate clients on a multitude of projects including Industrial, Healthcare and commercial developments. Our work includes site design, hydrology, utilities, mass grading and erosion control for projects in Georgia but typically in the metro Atlanta area. Requirements
- Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
- Self-motivated with attention to detail
- Ability to multitask
- Excels at working in a team environment
- Currently pursuing undergraduate or master’s degree in Civil Engineering, or related field
- Strong interest in civil engineering
- VHB does not provide housing for internships.
Responsibilities
- Effectively interact with numerous VHB staff, clients, and consultants to advance projects in a timely manner
- Engineering calculations
- Preliminary and final design plans
- Contract documents including specifications
- Engineer’s estimates
- Preparing construction documents
