The Landscape Design Assistant will support our Landscape Architect throughout all phases. This position is ideal for students or recent graduates pursuing Landscape Architecture, Horticulture, Environmental Design, or a related field who want practical experience in a design/sales environment. This role offers exposure to design, client interaction, sales, estimating, and software while building technical and professional skills. Requirements

  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Landscape Architecture,Landscape Design, Horticulture, Environmental Design, or a related field.
  • Basic knowledge of landscape design software or CAD programs (training provided as needed).
  • Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn.
  • Great communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to manage time effectively and handle multiple tasks.
  • Thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Driver's License (Required)

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience with constructing both hardscape and softscape developments, plant knowledge, and graphic preparation preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with the development of landscape designs based on client needs, site conditions, and project goals.
  • Assist with site visits, measurements, and documentation.
  • Help create site plans, sketches, and basic 3D renderings using landscape design or CAD software.
  • Product sourcing and proposed materials.
  • Support plant selection, hardscape materials, and layout concepts under the guidance of the Landscape Designer/Architect.
  • Create visual aids for client preparations.
  • Support Project Managers and Sales Team as needed.
  • Participate in internal design meetings and project discussions.
  • Maintain clear communication with designers, project managers, and office staff.
  • Assist with quantity takeoffs and material lists.
  • Help gather pricing information for plants, hardscape materials, and other landscape components.
