The Landscape Design Assistant will support our Landscape Architect throughout all phases. This position is ideal for students or recent graduates pursuing Landscape Architecture, Horticulture, Environmental Design, or a related field who want practical experience in a design/sales environment. This role offers exposure to design, client interaction, sales, estimating, and software while building technical and professional skills. Requirements
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Landscape Architecture,Landscape Design, Horticulture, Environmental Design, or a related field.
- Basic knowledge of landscape design software or CAD programs (training provided as needed).
- Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn.
- Great communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to manage time effectively and handle multiple tasks.
- Thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Driver's License (Required)
Nice To Haves
- Prior experience with constructing both hardscape and softscape developments, plant knowledge, and graphic preparation preferred.
Responsibilities
- Assist with the development of landscape designs based on client needs, site conditions, and project goals.
- Assist with site visits, measurements, and documentation.
- Help create site plans, sketches, and basic 3D renderings using landscape design or CAD software.
- Product sourcing and proposed materials.
- Support plant selection, hardscape materials, and layout concepts under the guidance of the Landscape Designer/Architect.
- Create visual aids for client preparations.
- Support Project Managers and Sales Team as needed.
- Participate in internal design meetings and project discussions.
- Maintain clear communication with designers, project managers, and office staff.
- Assist with quantity takeoffs and material lists.
- Help gather pricing information for plants, hardscape materials, and other landscape components.
