Our multidisciplinary team offers expertise in Landscape Architecture, Planning, Civil, Environmental, Structural, and Marine Engineering, Surveying, GIS, and Construction Administration. We are currently seeking a motivated and creative entry-level Landscape Designer to join our Nashville office. Position Overview As a Landscape Designer at Thomas & Hutton, you will be part of a collaborative studio environment working alongside experienced landscape architects, planners, and engineers on a wide range of public and private sector projects. This role offers hands-on exposure to all phases of the design process and is an excellent opportunity for professional growth within a supportive, design-focused firm.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Landscape Architecture from an accredited program
  • 0–3 years of professional or internship experience in landscape architecture or related field
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD / Civil 3D, SketchUp, Lumion, and Adobe Creative Suite
  • Strong organizational, communication, and graphic skills
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Must submit a portfolio that accurately represents experience and understanding of the design process to include built projects photos, presentation graphics and other design materials that represent skill set.

Nice To Haves

  • Internship or prior office experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Assist with the preparation of landscape construction documents, planting plans, and site layouts
  • Support design development, concept planning, and graphic visualization efforts
  • Contribute to reports, cost estimates, specifications, and technical exhibits
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams throughout project delivery
  • Assist with site planning, land development, and permitting support
  • Participate in design reviews and coordination with senior staff
