About The Position

The Landscape Foreman is responsible for leading daily landscape operations throughout Hound Ears Club, ensuring the highest standards of property appearance, safety, and member satisfaction. This role combines hands-on landscape work with team leadership, requiring strong horticultural knowledge, equipment operation skills, and the ability to build positive relationships with members, residents, and staff.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in landscape maintenance and crew supervision
  • Strong knowledge of plants, horticulture, and landscape design principles
  • Ability to operate a variety of landscaping and snow removal equipment
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong leadership and organizational abilities
  • Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions year-round
  • Valid driver’s license required

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in a private club or residential community setting
  • Formal training or certification in horticulture or landscape management

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and lead landscape crew in daily maintenance and project tasks
  • Maintain high-quality standards for all grounds, incuding, plant beds, trees, and common areas
  • Develop and maintain strong, professional relationships with club members, residents, and fellow employees
  • Communicate effectively with management regarding property needs, project updates, and member concerns
  • Assist with landscape design, installation, and seasonal enhancements
  • Apply plant knowledge to ensure proper selection, care, and long-term health of all landscaping materials
  • Operate and oversee the use of landscaping equipment, including mowers, trimmers, blowers, and other machinery
  • Train crew members on proper techniques, safety procedures, and equipment use
  • Monitor and enforce safety standards at all times
  • Lead snow removal operations during winter months
  • Operate plows and other equipment to maintain safe road conditions within the community
  • Coordinate team response during snow and ice events
