About The Position

If you like working with your hands, being outdoors, and taking pride in well-kept landscapes, this role puts you at the center of it. As a Seasonal Landscape Technician, you'll help care for and maintain the outdoor environments that surround The Front's facilities and properties across Salt Lake City. This is a hands-on position for someone who enjoys physical work, understands plants and seasonal cycles, and wants to see the visible impact of their work every day. The Seasonal Landscape Technician is responsible for maintaining the health, safety, and appearance of outdoor grounds across multiple Front properties in Salt Lake City. You'll work independently across sites, managing seasonal landscaping needs, monitoring plant health, and keeping outdoor spaces looking clean, functional, and welcoming.

Requirements

  • Have 5+ years of experience in landscaping, horticulture, grounds maintenance, or a related field (education or trade training may count toward experience).
  • Understand Utah climate cycles, plant varieties, and regional growing seasons.
  • Can recognize signs of plant disease, pest activity, and nutrient deficiencies.
  • Have experience working with irrigation systems and seasonal watering schedules.
  • Are comfortable working independently and organizing tasks without constant supervision.
  • Can safely operate landscaping tools and equipment.
  • Hold a valid driver's license.
  • Are physically able to perform manual labor and lift 50+ pounds regularly.
  • Communicate clearly and keep organized records of work performed.
  • Care about maintaining spaces that people use and enjoy.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and carry out seasonal landscaping tasks including planting, trimming, watering, and seasonal cleanup.
  • Maintain turf, trees, shrubs, flowers, and landscape beds across multiple properties.
  • Monitor irrigation systems and adjust watering schedules based on weather and seasonal needs.
  • Identify plant health issues such as disease, pests, nutrient deficiencies, or environmental stress.
  • Perform pruning and plant maintenance following horticultural best practices.
  • Install and maintain landscaping features and minor hardscape elements.
  • Operate landscaping equipment including trimmers, chainsaws, skid steers, and other tools.
  • Keep records of maintenance work, seasonal cycles, and materials used.
  • Assist with winter operations including snow removal and safety measures.
  • Communicate site conditions and improvement opportunities with the Facilities Manager.
