About The Position
The Horticulture Department requires team-oriented members that are quality driven and detail oriented, with a positive attitude and willingness to learn all aspects of the horticulture world and how it works here at Golden Ocala. Additionally, we require a strong work ethic, both as a team and individually. The ability to communicate well with others and to take direction are a must. Mutual respect between team members is essential in developing a strong program. The Horticulture team works 40 hours per week with occasional Saturday assignments based upon club requirements.
Requirements
- High School Diploma
- Some knowledge of horticulture standards and processes
- Self-motivation becomes a requirement
- Willingness to learn to operate all equipment
- Willingness to learn all aspects of departmental functions
- Willingness to be detailed in all daily functions
- Willingness/ability to be a strong team player

- Should have some experience in either the field of horticulture or grounds maintenance
- Should have a basic knowledge of most equipment used in the fields of horticulture and grounds maintenance
- Some knowledge of horticulture standards and processes
- Ability to work outside, year round
- Have a good attitude and team mentality
- Be able to follow directions and make appropriate decisions on the job
- Have good time awareness and ability to stay on task
