About The Position

The Latin America & Intercompany Sales Intern will work in a Sales Team environment in support of Driscoll’s Mission, Vision, and Values as the Fresh Berry Category Leader. The Latin America & Intercompany Sales Intern will answer phone calls and provide extraordinary customer service for our internal and external customers. They will assist in organizing and implementing the short-term daily activities to achieve an orderly sales, accounting, marketing, distribution process and provide special projects coordination. The Latin America & Intercompany Sales Intern will gain valuable knowledge of the Industry, from grower perspective and the entire operation of distribution channels.

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in a four-year college or university, or you are a recent graduate within the last six months.
  • Strong organizational and planning skills.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to adapt and stay flexible in a fast-paced, continuously changing environment.
  • Experience using Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Dependable and reliable with strong interpersonal skills.
  • Willingness to learn and take on new tasks.
  • High attention to detail with strong observation skills.
  • Comfortable following structured processes.
  • California driver’s license and eligible to be covered under the company-sponsored vehicle insurance program.

Responsibilities

  • Provides effective customer service to both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Answers phone calls and routes inquiries within the Sales group.
  • Enters sales orders and verifies shipping information.
  • Shares pricing information with customers under the guidance of a Sales Representative.
  • Supports the sales team with the accounts receivable process.
  • Collaborates on departmental special projects and initiatives.
  • Participates in job shadowing opportunities across other departments.
  • Handles Driscoll’s confidential and proprietary information appropriately.
  • Represents Driscoll’s in an ethical and professional manner when interacting with growers, colleagues, suppliers, customers, and the broader business community.
