About The Position

The primary purpose of the position is to stack, fold, count, bulk, load/unload, label, and package cleanroom wipes and garment products in the laundry area.

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to operate equipment, and to regularly prepare, inspect, and position the finished product.
  • Employee must be able to use hands, fingers, wrist and arms in repetitive motions 100% of the time.
  • Must be able to squeeze with hands 50% of time.
  • Employee must be able to remain in a stationary position 100% of the time.
  • This time can vary between sitting or standing depending on the work station.
  • Employee must be able to move, traverse.
  • Employees will move around the room to different work stations.
  • The Employee must be able to position self (to), move.
  • Employees must be able to constantly bend at the waist in a repetitive motion.
  • The employee must often transport and/or move up to 25 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, and ability to adjust focus.
  • High school or GED education; no prior experience required.

Responsibilities

  • Loads/unloads washers and loads/unloads dryers per pre-programmed processing cycles.
  • Inspects fabric, cut wipers, garments, bags and other packaging items, as they are used, for conformance to specification.
  • Notifies Lead Laundry Technician of any non-conformance.
  • Develops knowledge of cleanroom protocol and adheres to the cleanliness requirements of the cleanroom processes.
  • Sorts, stacks, counts, and packages dried products according to products code and lot number, in accordance with established quality and productivity standards.
  • Moves packed product to staging area using a pallet jack.
  • Participates in periodic training programs regarding product specifications; quality; operation and maintenance of worker’s safety.
  • Participates and works within ISO 9001-2015 quality standards guidelines in accordance with Contec’s quality goals.
