Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Prior laundry or housekeeping experience preferred.
• Ability to follow instructions and work independently.
• Ability to stand for long periods of time.
• Ability to lift up to 30–50 pounds.
• Able to frequently bend, lift, and reach.

Responsibilities

• Maintain an adequate supply of clean linens for resident care.
• Inspect linens and remove damaged or stained items from service.
• Collect resident laundry daily or as needed.
• Label new residents’ clothing as required.
• Sort, treat, wash, dry, and fold clothing and linens according to facility procedures.
• Deliver clean laundry promptly to resident rooms.
• Follow all sanitation and infection control procedures.
• Maintain laundry supply inventory and report low stock.
• Operate laundry equipment safely and report any malfunctions to the Administrator.
• Keep laundry area clean and organized.
