About The Position

ABOUT THE ROLE: The Laundry Associate is responsible for carrying out the normal activities of the laundry, including washing, ironing, folding, sorting, etc. of clothing and linens. If time allows, perform resident care activities essential to meeting residents' personal needs and maintaining their comfort.

Requirements

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
• Ability to understand and follow instructions in English and communicate effectively.
• Ability to process 50‑100 pounds of laundry at a time.

Nice To Haves

• Commercial laundry experience is desirable but not required.

Responsibilities

• Collects, cleans, and redistributes the community and residents’ personal laundry & flat linens.
• Ensures that laundry is properly sorted, washed and dried according to State and Federal regulations.
• Ensures that the laundry is maintained in a clean, orderly and sanitary condition.
• Make beds as needed in A.M., turn down as needed in P.M. and change bed linens once per week or PRN, if available.
• Maintains all equipment and supplies in proper condition.
• Accomplishes all work in the order of priority set by the supervisor.
• Attends in-service training and education sessions, as assigned.
• Performs specific work duties and responsibilities as assigned by supervisor.
