About the position

The Laundry Attendant Driver at Harrah’s Cherokee Casino Resort is responsible for inventorying and sorting laundry items, inspecting linen for quality, and transporting linen to an offsite facility. This role supports the business objectives, ethics, and values of Caesars Entertainment, ensuring compliance with the Code of Commitment and Mission, Vision, and Values.

Responsibilities

  • Count items for the day and inventory outgoing items
  • Remove all foreign material from linen and dispose of it according to established procedures
  • Sort soiled laundry based on type and degree of stain
  • Inspect all linen for quality, checking for wrinkles and stains
  • Pull/push full or empty laundry tubs
  • Complete all necessary paperwork in a timely manner
  • Maintain work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition
  • Transport soiled/clean linen for property to and from off-site facility
  • Unload and load soiled/clean linen for property at casino and off-site facility
  • Operate laundry equipment, including proper chemical titrations
  • Transport freight, parts, or other equipment using proper loading and unloading techniques
  • Adhere to all vehicle regulations regarding weight, speed, equipment, route, and safety
  • Maintain the security of assigned equipment and cargo
  • Perform regular maintenance service and inspection on assigned vehicles
  • Perform emergency service and repairs when required
  • Maintain effective communication with supervisor during out-of-town trips
  • Maintain all required paperwork including pre-trip checklist and other reports
  • Report any citations, accidents, or job injuries while operating company vehicles
  • Pass safety inspections quarterly
  • Drive a 24 ft loaded box truck safely in and out of parking garages and designated loading docks
  • Raise and lower lift gate for transport of linen carts
  • Operate pallet lift jack for transport of linen and chemical products
  • Complete tasks as directed and manage time effectively without direct supervision
  • Inspect and maintain laundry vehicles
  • Adhere to regulatory, departmental, and company policies/procedures ethically

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • One-year previous commercial laundry experience preferred
  • Valid N.C driver’s license required
  • Must be able to obtain a CDL (Commercial Driver’s License) within 6 months of hire
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks/duties simultaneously
  • Neat, well-groomed appearance with excellent personal hygiene
  • Friendly, upbeat, outgoing personality
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Self-starter; must work without close supervision
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
