About The Position

As a Hotel Laundry Attendant at Springhill suites Savannah Richmond Hill , you will be responsible for ensuring that all linens, and towels are cleaned, pressed, folded and delivered in a timely and efficient manner. Your role is crucial in maintaining the high standards of cleanliness and presentation expected by our guests. The ideal candidate will be organized, detail-oriented, and capable of working in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a focus on quality and efficiency.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Previous experience in a laundry or housekeeping role is a plus but not required.
  • Ability to operate laundry machines and equipment effectively.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality standards.
  • Good organizational and time-management skills
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication skills and a positive attitude.
  • Physical stamina and the ability to lift and move heavy items as needed.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

  • Laundry Operations:
  • Operate laundry machines, including washers, dryers, and pressing equipment, to clean and prepare linens, and towels.
  • Sort and categorize laundry items by type, color, and fabric to ensure proper washing and handling.
  • Inspect laundry items for stains, damage, or special cleaning requirements and address these as necessary.
  • Quality Control:
  • Ensure that all laundry is cleaned, dried, and pressed to the highest standards of quality.
  • Fold, hang, and package clean laundry according to hotel standards and specifications.
  • Inventory Management:
  • Monitor inventory levels of laundry supplies and notify the supervisor of any shortages or needs for replacement.
  • Assist with the ordering and restocking of laundry chemicals, detergents, and other supplies as needed.
  • Guest and Staff Support:
  • Handle guest laundry requests with efficiency and professionalism, ensuring timely delivery of guest items.
  • Collaborate with housekeeping and other departments to ensure a smooth flow of clean linens and laundry throughout the hotel.
  • Safety and Compliance:
  • Follow all safety procedures and protocols, including proper handling of laundry chemicals and equipment.
  • Adhere to health and safety regulations, including maintaining a clean and organized laundry area.
  • Maintenance and Cleaning:
  • Perform routine maintenance on laundry equipment and report any malfunctions or repair needs to the supervisor.
  • Keep the laundry room and surrounding areas clean and organized.
  • Documentation and Reporting:
  • Maintain accurate records of laundry activities, including inventory levels, equipment usage, and any issues or incidents.
  • Provide regular updates to the Executive Housekeeper regarding laundry status and departmental needs.
