Requirements

Must be able to maintain regular attendance
Must meet all local and federal health regulations and pass post-employment physical exam if required
No prior experience or training required

Responsibilities

Load washers and dryers with appropriate amounts of detergent and cleaning agents
Operate washers, dryers, and other laundry equipment safely and properly
Sort, fold, and distribute clean linens and clothing to appropriate areas
Pre-treat, soak, and bleach items according to established procedures
Inspect, mend, and repair torn articles when necessary
Maintain accurate counts of linens and clothing
Ensure laundry schedules are followed daily
Maintain clean and organized work areas
Follow infection control, universal precautions, and isolation procedures
Store chemicals and supplies safely and properly
Report hazardous conditions, accidents, or equipment issues to supervisor
Attend orientation, in-services, and staff meetings as required
Perform other duties as assigned
