Optimus Healthcare is looking for a full-time LCSW or LPC with a minimum of two years of related behavioral health experience preferred in the areas of culturally diverse populations. Combination of clinical, crisis intervention, systems, case management, conflict resolution, behavior modification, program development and providing group counseling. Good verbal and written communication skills are required. This position is grant funded and provides direct services to Optimus' patients and families with the goal of developing patient independence and self-sufficiency when applicable. This clinician will work with the Promoting Integrated Care ( PIC) Team, Transition Clinic team, and our general BH population.

This position will have responsibilities at multiple Optimus Bridgeport sites, including one day at our Stamford clinic.

Requirements

• MSW or similar degree in counseling from an accredited university
• Good verbal and written communication skills

Nice To Haves

Responsibilities

• Conducts biopsychosocial evaluations and develops an initial treatment plan that identifies the needed medical, mental health and/or substance use services – refers out to appropriate treatment providers.
• Ability to manage multiple issues at the same time and prioritize competing demands or switching direction quickly.
• Highly methodical and process oriented
• Professional positive attitude, vision, understanding of customer service principals, trustworthiness, and excellent interpersonal skills to successfully accomplish tasks necessary to meet high standards of ethical and social responsibility required by this position.
