About The Position

As a Delivery Stream WBS 8 Lead you will oversee the end-to-end execution of valve procurement and delivery activities to support domestic projects and a domestic restart initiative. You will provide leadership across all phases of the procurement lifecycle, including pre–purchase order planning, purchase order placement, execution, delivery, and final turnover of valve equipment to the customer. The WBS 8 Lead directs a cross‑functional team and executes an integrated delivery strategy, ensuring the team plans, procures, and delivers valve assemblies and components and following technical and customer requirements. The role includes oversight of valve-related procurement activities supporting domestic projects and readiness activities associated with the domestic restart initiative. You will lead supplier evaluations and capacity assessments to support a long-term, high-capacity domestic supply strategy. This includes project management responsibilities such as schedule development, risk identification and mitigation, cost control, and achievement of defined financial and schedule milestones. You will be the primary contact between Supply Chain, Engineering, Quality, Project Management, and external suppliers to ensure successful execution and delivery outcomes. This hybrid position will report to the Senior Manager APX WBS 3&8, Mechanical Modules and Valves and be located at our Global Headquarters in Cranberry Township, Pennsylvania in the Greater Pittsburgh Area.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of relevant experience; at least 5 years in a leadership role of project delivery to major technical design projects.
  • Bachelor's degree required, Engineering Discipline Required. MBA or master's degree.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP).
  • In-depth manufacturing, financial, and economic understanding of Energy Systems Product Lines
  • Major program leadership experience.
  • Eperience working in multinational teams.
  • Executive level communication
  • Define the problem statement and develop a plan of action for themselves and their teams and understand how to report that back up the management chain.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement the appropriate program management model, complementary to global execution model(s) to profitably ensure Westinghouse's participation and leadership in the AP1000 Energy System Portfolio.
  • Forecast program performance, including identification of risk areas and development of mitigation strategies to ensure overall program meets safety, quality, and financial goals.
  • Be the trusted partner to the Delivery Stream project procurement leader for each major customer project.
  • Provide strategic direction and execution plans focused on delivery and implementation of Energy System products that meets/exceeds incremental profitable growth for WEC.
  • Lead and provide oversight to delivery stream teams across all Westinghouse, supplier, and customer sites.
  • Lead decision-making, strategy implementation for procurement of components and equipment.
  • Work with GSCS partners to develop and provide strategic sourcing strategies and execution plans focused on delivery and implementation of products that exceed incremental profitable growth for Westinghouse.
  • Oversee training and mentor new hires and existing employees working on customer projects for the first time.
  • Be the primary project interface for project management, status, and responsibility for delivery of components and equipment within Westinghouse scope of supply.
  • Support development of Delivery Stream project management staffing forecast.
  • Participate in bid discussions and meetings.
  • After project award, you are the primary contact and manage status updates and delivery of all components and equipment within the Westinghouse scope of supply.
  • Collaborate with design engineering and quality to develop appropriate document submittal and witness and hold point (W&HP) requirements.
  • Provide supplier strategy and procurement planning by guiding supplier Identification and down selection, technical evaluations, quality audits and request for quotation package creations.
