How you’ll make an impact in this role Proactively monitor for and provide swift, professional responses to all security threats, ensuring a safe environment for staff, visitors, and patients. Offer focused, non-clinical assistance to providers during patient care as directed, and oversee daily inventory, supply operations, and issue resolution to maintain operational readiness. Serve as the dedicated team leader, fostering a collaborative atmosphere while actively participating in staff performance monitoring, mentorship, and constructive evaluation. Coordinate team activities, prioritize workflows, promote effective decision-making, and ensure clear accountability by reviewing staff reports and managing security incident documentation. Partner with the Security Manager on critical management tasks including shift staffing, organizational planning, budget preparation, staff development, and Committee Chair responsibilities. What minimum requirements you’ll need Licensure / Certification / Registration: Drivers License obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required. Class D (Unarmed Security License) and Class G License (Armed Security License) issued by the Florida Department of Agriculture obtained within 90 days of hire or transfer date required. BLS Provider preferred. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted. Law Enforcement preferred. Education: High School diploma equivalency and 3 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree and 1 year of experience OR 5 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required. What additional preferences we're seeking Ability to effectively read and write detailed incident reports 3 to 5 years of cumulative security experience with some type of leadership experience. Three to five years of security experience, including some experience in a leadership role.
