About The Position

The Role: Entegris is seeking a Business Development Lead in its Entegris Corporate Business Development team to identify and execute growth opportunities through various means like mergers, acquisitions, and partnerships. The role will focus on opportunities that align with our materials science innovation culture, High-Tech go-to-market channels, unit-driven business models, sustainability objectives, and PACE Values. This individual will be a critical member of a small, nimble Corporate Business Development team, and will be responsible for M&A strategy, deal sourcing, due diligence, risks assessment, agreement negotiation, integration planning, and portfolio management. This individual will work alongside the executive team, key stakeholders, advisers and management team from target companies throughout the full acquisition process. Strong analytical skills and attention to detail are essential to success in this role, in addition to working well as part of a team. The candidate should be a highly motivated individual with a strong academic background and the drive to learn and deliver results.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Technology, Materials Science or Chemical Engineering, complemented with MBA; Or Master’s degree in business, accounting, economics, or strategy with strong technology curiosity.
  • 5-7 years of work experience in High Technology Industry, Business Development or Finance
  • 3+ years Corporate Strategy, Investment Banking, Private Equity, Venture Capital required.
  • Successful business development complementary experience desired, alongside M&A track record
  • Strong data, analytics, technology experience and understanding.
  • Financial modeling and superior analytical skills
  • Bias for action and the ability to multi-task and balance priorities while maintaining a high level of attention to detail.
  • Advanced skills in some of the following areas: business savvy, strategic thinking, planning, and organizing, relationship building, collaboration, project management, quantitative analysis.
  • Exceptional written, verbal, and presentation communication skills with the ability to provide concise, relevant market commentary and periodically explain complex industry and corporate development terms/concepts directly to key stakeholders.
  • Semiconductor industry experience and familiarity with Entegris

Responsibilities

  • Deal Sourcing & Analysis: Identify, evaluate, and cultivate potential M&A opportunities, conducting thorough market research and competitive analysis. Proactively reach out to Target companies, Investment bankers, and Industry Consultants to cultivate relationships and turn M&A leads into actionable projects.
  • Due Diligence & Negotiation: Lead the due diligence process, engage broader Entegris stakeholders, target companies and their advisers to fulfill due diligence procedure and requirements according to Entegris BD Playbook. Support senior BD team and BU leadership team to structure deals and support various deal reviews.
  • Financial Modeling & Valuation: Support BD Finance to develop and maintain business plan key assumptions and financial models, conduct valuations, and analyze potential deal implications. Incorporate DD findings into valuation models and support various reviews from Corporate Finance team;
  • Integration: Support integration team to manage the integration of acquired companies or partnerships to ensure a smooth transition and maximize value. Manage the integration of acquired companies or partnerships to ensure a smooth transition and maximize value.
  • Market research & strategic planning: Develop a deep understanding of the industry and competitive landscape. Lead or partner with Business team to initiate and drive market study of specific technical fields or applications. Support Corp. BD team or Business team to develop and implement SLRP (Strategic Long-Range Planning) to achieve organization growth and financial objectives.
  • Divestiture & Execution: Support Entegris business portfolio review and formulate portfolio optimization strategies. Lead divestiture process and support separation planning as needed.
  • Ventures: Support Entegris Ventures team on evaluating funnel of investment opportunities and preparing management presentations.

  • Compensation: $125,500 - $157,000 per year range with actual pay dependent on candidate overall skills for the role
