Key Responsibilities Assist the Cafe Manager with daily operations and act as key support during all shifts Prepare and serve beverages, snacks, and light meals Perform food preparation, basic cooking, and maintain high standards of cleanliness and food safety Operate POS system for transactions, cash handling, and daily reporting Help manage inventory: receiving orders, stocking shelves, rotating stock, and tracking usage to minimize waste Provide warm, exceptional customer service to residents and guests Support opening and closing procedures to keep the cafe inviting and organized Must have flexible availability, including weekends and varying shifts Ensure compliance with health regulations and HOA policies Step in to help guide day-to-day tasks and maintain smooth service flow Schedule: Consistent hours, weekends required Required Qualifications & Experience Previous experience in a cafe, coffee shop, restaurant, or similar fast-paced food service environment (1+ years preferred) Proven skills in food preparation, basic cooking, and kitchen operations Familiarity with POS systems and cash handling Strong inventory tracking and organizational skills Excellent customer service and communication abilities Reliable, detail-oriented, and able to work well independently or as part of a small team Ability to support leadership and help keep operations on track Food Handler's certification (or willingness to obtain)
