About The Position

Olsson provides construction management, administration, and observation services for both public and private projects to assure that work is performed in conformance with project documents. Our construction services include daily observation / inspection, project documentation, submittal review, design support, shop drawing review, payment application review, payroll review, and oversight for materials testing. We provide technically qualified personnel for our clients’ specific project requirements. As a Construction Manager, you will play a pivotal role in the success of diverse construction projects that include roadways, utility infrastructure, and water/sewer distribution systems. Your responsibilities will extend to interpreting project specifications and plans across various disciplines, inspecting and coordinating inspection of construction work, coordinating schedules, verifying projects are completed per the project documents, and overseeing projects of various complexity. Working collaboratively with experienced construction managers and engineers, you will be instrumental in driving projects to successful completion. Your role ensures not only the efficient execution of tasks but also contributes to the overall excellence and success of each project, reflecting your commitment to quality in construction management. You will travel to various job sites at different stages of construction and work in all types of terrain and weather conditions. We have one position available and will consider candidates being located out of Western Kansas (Garden City, Dodge City, Hays, and Liberal) or Flint Hills region (Manhattan, Junction City, Emporia, Wamego, etc.).

Requirements

  • Strong communication skills.
  • Ability to contribute and work well on a team.
  • Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, or other applicable field.
  • A minimum of eight (8) years of experience in construction observation or construction inspection.
  • The ability to work in a constant state of alertness and safe manner.
  • Valid driver's license with clean driving history.
  • Willingness to work a flexible schedule.

Nice To Haves

  • OSHA 10 preferred, but not required.
