About The Position

The Lead CMM Programmer role is responsible for all core and ancillary competencies of programming CMM machines in PC-DMIS. The position will manage a group of parts assigned by the site Quality Leader and manage the conformity of the hardware and CMM processes associated with them. This position is expected to be fully independent in nature and able to manage all processes and systems related to the CMM measurement of hardware. This role is also expected to research and explore new technologies for automated inspection methods and help integrate them into use within the shop.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree accredited college or university (or a high school diploma / GED with a minimum of 4 years of experience in Manufacturing (CMM programming) experience) + Minimum of 3 years of Manufacturing (CMM programming) experience
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems.
  • Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs.
  • Established project management skills.
  • Highly motivated, passionate

  • This role requires access to U.S. export-controlled information. Responsibilities

  • Ownership includes both quality assurance and quality control. Includes quality assurance of products, services, manufacturing processes. Includes conformance in manufacturing, incoming goods control, product inspection, etc.
  • Programming in PC-DMIS
  • Maintain QEP Level 2 proficiency
  • Maintain PR Certification
  • Actively mentor the PB level engineers within the shop
  • Proactively identify opportunities for process capability and yield improvement
  • Own root cause and corrective action identification and completion for hardware non-conformances
  • Analyze data to identify problems, drive actions, and implement fixes
  • Identify inspection reduction opportunities through statistical analysis, point of generation inspection, or new inspection methods.
  • Lead in cross-functional projects, working with hourly workforce, process engineers, design engineers, and operations team to meet site quality and delivery goals
  • Develop in-depth knowledge of a technical discipline.
  • Use prior experience and acquired technical expertise to execute policy/strategy.
  • In-depth understanding of key business drivers; uses this understanding to accomplish own work.
  • In-depth understanding of how work of own team integrates with other teams and contributes to the area.
