Supervises and coordinates activities of Cooks and other workers engaged in preparing and cooking foodstuffs by performing the following duties. Requirements

A minimum of 2 years experience in a similar role.
In-depth knowledge of restaurant best practices and cooking methods.
Excellent communication and organizational skills.
Aptitude for multi-tasking.
Must be able to work cooperatively and efficiently in a team.
The team member must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move more than 50 pounds.
Must be able to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

Gives instructions to cooking personnel on the fine points of cooking.
Cooks and carves meats, and prepares dishes, such as sauces, during rush periods and for banquets and other social functions.
Ordering of food and non-food items
Making sure health codes are being upheld
Training of kitchen personnel
