About The Position

Amira Choice of Roseville on Cleveland is a beautiful, well-designed senior living community that offers the highest level of distinction for our residents. We offer 80 senior units with a mix of Independent/Assisted Living as well as Memory Care and Care Suites. Our community is adjacent to both Minneapolis and St. Paul, MN and is near public transportation making it a convenient location for our employees. This schedule includes;
64 hours per two weeks
day/evening shift
every other weekend and holiday rotation
This position is responsible for dining room meal service to residents.

Responsibilities

• Serves meals and ensures that the dining area is clean and inviting:
• Follows meal serving schedule and procedures.
• Offers resident meal choices and meets resident’s specific dietary needs
• Uses proper safety and sanitation techniques.
• Helps lead shift huddles for each meal.
• Outlines and delegates daily cleaning and production tasks for the Culinary Assistants as needed.
• Creates dining room cleaning schedules and procedures and ensures their completion.
• Ensures all dishes (including flatware, drinkware, etc.) are washed, sanitized, and put away before end of shift.
• Promotes and encourages positive resident relations and satisfaction:
• Welcomes residents and initiates conversation.
• Accommodates tenant/resident requests such as requests for food substitution, change in seating, etc.
• Listens to complaints and responds appropriately. Refers issues to Culinary Director as appropriate.
• Provides support and direction to Culinary Assistants:
• Oversees proper procedures for dining room set-up for daily meals and special events.
• Checks the daily task sheets for completion. Refers any incomplete tasks to the Chef/Culinary Director.
• Schedules Culinary Assistants
• Identify Culinary Assistant performance issues and communicates them to Culinary Director
• Trains new staff on proper procedures.
• Assists in completing the onboarding and orientation checklists for newly hired Culinary Assistants.
• Listens to complaints and respond appropriately. Refers issues to Culinary Director and Executive Director as appropriate.
