About The Position

Supervise the custodial crew engaged in the cleaning operations at assigned District sites.

Requirements

• Education and/or experience equivalent to a High School Diploma or GED
• Two (2) years of custodial experience
• State of Arizona Identity Verified (IVP) Fingerprint Clearance Card
• Knowledge of cleaning standards and techniques
• Knowledge of equipment and material usage and maintenance
• Knowledge of hazards and precautionary measures specific to custodial operations
• Knowledge of computer applications to perform functions of position
• Skill in supervising the work activities of assigned staff
• Skill in both verbal and written communication
• Skill in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships

Responsibilities

• Supervise and assign work activities of custodial staff.
• Provide direction to custodians in the performance of cleaning tasks.
• Maintain time sheets and attendance records.
• May assist with hiring.
• Conduct performance evaluations.
• Train staff on custodial services and techniques; participate in all custodial positions and functions as needed.
• Responsible for security of district buildings and properties; serve as on-call for security or fire alarms.
• Maintain inventory of custodial supplies.
• Maintain all equipment to ensure proper working condition.
• Maintain communication with school administrator, facilities management and site custodians.
• Attend meetings as required.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
