This requires us to deliver on our promises and always look for new opportunities to grow, both ourselves and our business.Job PurposeThe Lead Transmission Line Engineer will be responsible for designing, analyzing, and optimizing the construction of transmission lines 69kV and above, ensuring reliable and efficient electricity transmission while adhering to industry standards, safety regulations, and environmental considerations.
Requirements
- Minimum 6 years work experience.
- A Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from an ABET accredited engineering program required.
- Quality oral and written communication skills.
- Proficient MS Office computer skills (Access, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, etc.)
- Must have a valid driver’s license with acceptable driving history.
Nice To Haves
- Advanced knowledge on industry standards and/or codes (ASTM, OSHA, NESC, etc) preferred.
- Proficient PLS-CADD Skills preferred
Responsibilities
- Perform engineering and design of large regulatory driven projects, Article VII/Article VIII permitting rebuilds, and multi-state interties
- Perform the engineering and design of system interconnections for new customers, wind power generation facilities, solar power generation facilities, and other green energy sources.
- Lead pilot projects of new technology such as advanced conductors and alternative structure/foundation types
- Lead multi-value transmission engineering projects such as large-scale asset refurbishments and circuit reconductoring
- Provide field/construction support to active construction jobs with real time engineering input
