About The Position

This role plays a critical role in the overall management of building operations. This role will oversee daily operational tasks for the Carlsbad office. Reporting directly to the Director, Central Services this role will oversee the entirety of Site support including maintenance programs and support consistent and reliable execution of day-to-day tasks ensuring operational excellence throughout the office. The Lead will ensure EH&S Compliance from a city, county, state and federal level. This role will also serve as the Safety Leader for the site.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily building operations to ensure all office spaces, production floors, and warehouse areas (excluding machine maintenance) are clean, safe, fully functional, and able to support business needs for employees and visitors
  • Manage all facilities-related vendors and contractors, including scheduling work, overseeing performance, and verifying that completed services meet quality standards and compliance requirements.
  • Conduct and document daily facilities inspections, ensuring all safety, security, and emergency preparedness procedures are implemented properly.
  • Recommends maintenance, mechanical, electrical, and facility design modifications.
  • Oversee construction and renovation projects, including space planning and allocation, to improve efficiency and meet organizational goals.
  • Monitor energy usage and manage/implement sustainability programs (e.g., recycling, water conservation) to reduce environmental impact and costs.
  • Main contact with Landlord on all building needs, maintenance, and upgrades.
  • Set up all company events and functions including quarterly Town Halls, customer on-site events, regional sales meetings, corporate holiday functions, and any other on-site events.
  • Oversee daily operations of all employee and guest F&B options (vending, coffee service, fresh-fruit program, and Fitting Studio refreshments), continuously assessing usage, quality, and cost-effectiveness to ensure the approach remains aligned with organizational expectations.
  • Forecasts, allocates, and supervises the financial and physical resources of the facility management including processing all facilities related invoices
  • Lead all health, safety, security, and emergency programs by ensuring compliance with OSHA and California building codes; conduct regular safety inspections, audits, emergency drills, and sustainability reporting, and serve as the primary point of contact for after-hours alarms and urgent issues.
  • Oversee the Facilities ticketing system and execute and/or assign daily tickets to staff as needed
  • Supervise and evaluate Day Porter and ensure daily cleaning services needs are being met and make recommendations for improvements; oversee repair services, and equipment installation/delivery
  • Support Technician Production Maintenance CPG and Regional Central Services on key projects and initiatives as needed.
