The Facilities Maintenance Lead is responsible for coordinating and performing maintenance tasks to ensure the efficient operation of building systems, infrastructure, and equipment. This role includes hands-on maintenance work, organizing team efforts, and ensuring compliance with safety and operational standards.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • 4-6 years in facilities maintenance, with at least 2 years in a leadership or coordination role.
  • 4-6 years with maintaining and troubleshooting building systems and equipment.
  • In-depth knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems. (High proficiency)
  • Ability to diagnose and resolve complex maintenance issues effectively. (High proficiency)
  • Understanding of OSHA standards and building safety protocols. (High proficiency)
  • Effective verbal and written communication for team and vendor collaboration. (High proficiency)
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple maintenance tasks efficiently. (High proficiency)
  • Skills in coordinating vendor work and overseeing small-scale maintenance projects. (Medium proficiency)
  • Ability to organize team efforts and provide technical guidance. (Medium proficiency)
  • Familiarity with facility management software and basic computer applications. (Medium proficiency)

Responsibilities

  • Organize and perform maintenance activities for HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and other building systems.
  • Conduct inspections to identify potential issues and prioritize maintenance tasks.
  • Diagnose and resolve problems with building systems and equipment.
  • Guide team members in addressing complex maintenance issues.
  • Act as a resource for team members, providing technical guidance and support.
  • Coordinate work assignments to ensure timely completion of maintenance tasks.
  • Ensure maintenance activities comply with OSHA, safety regulations, and building codes.
  • Oversee the proper functioning of fire safety systems and address safety concerns.
  • Collaborate with contractors and vendors for specialized maintenance projects.
  • Monitor vendor work to ensure quality and adherence to project timelines.
  • Assist in facility improvement and renovation projects.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, work orders, and equipment.
  • Manage inventory and supplies for maintenance tasks.
