The Facilities Maintenance Lead is responsible for coordinating and performing maintenance tasks to ensure the efficient operation of building systems, infrastructure, and equipment. This role includes hands-on maintenance work, organizing team efforts, and ensuring compliance with safety and operational standards.

Requirements

High School Diploma or equivalent required
4-6 years in facilities maintenance, with at least 2 years in a leadership or coordination role.
4-6 years with maintaining and troubleshooting building systems and equipment.
In-depth knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems. (High proficiency)
Ability to diagnose and resolve complex maintenance issues effectively. (High proficiency)
Understanding of OSHA standards and building safety protocols. (High proficiency)
Effective verbal and written communication for team and vendor collaboration. (High proficiency)
Ability to prioritize and manage multiple maintenance tasks efficiently. (High proficiency)
Skills in coordinating vendor work and overseeing small-scale maintenance projects. (Medium proficiency)
Ability to organize team efforts and provide technical guidance. (Medium proficiency)
Familiarity with facility management software and basic computer applications. (Medium proficiency)

Responsibilities

Organize and perform maintenance activities for HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and other building systems.
Conduct inspections to identify potential issues and prioritize maintenance tasks.
Diagnose and resolve problems with building systems and equipment.
Guide team members in addressing complex maintenance issues.
Act as a resource for team members, providing technical guidance and support.
Coordinate work assignments to ensure timely completion of maintenance tasks.
Ensure maintenance activities comply with OSHA, safety regulations, and building codes.
Oversee the proper functioning of fire safety systems and address safety concerns.
Collaborate with contractors and vendors for specialized maintenance projects.
Monitor vendor work to ensure quality and adherence to project timelines.
Assist in facility improvement and renovation projects.
Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, work orders, and equipment.
Manage inventory and supplies for maintenance tasks.
