GDIT is looking for Lead Field Support Technician in the Eastern Air Defense Sector (EADS) at Rome, NY, who holds active DOW Secret Clearance. The Tier 1 maintenance of the on-site ADCS systems and subsystems, performing preventive and corrective maintenance and monitoring the on-site and remote locations. Lead Support Technician maintenance includes (but is not limited to): Terminate ADCS circuits activated at the node point-of-presence (POP). Report failures to the on-site government contract representative no later than the start of the next duty day Coordinate system downtime requirements with CAOC/ADS “Comm Focal Point (CFP)” Monitoring the on-site and remote locations Perform additions, changes, and relocations of ADCS equipment Performs a range of technical tasks and provides site support. Modifies, moves, and installs a range of new equipment. Troubleshoots a range of hardware and software problems and interconnectivity issues. Principle Duties and Responsibilities: Operations and maintenance of communications/computer systems and networks. Installs communications/computer systems in accordance with the respective installation spec. Troubleshooting and support of communications systems/networks. Assist EADS site technical team with technical assistance when needed/requested. Working knowledge of Cisco system support/maintenance, VMware ESXi system support/maintenance, Active Directory, Windows Server 2019, HBSS, ACAS, SQL, SolarWinds, and Splunk preferred. End-user support and training on communications systems/networks. Administer network/cyber security policies and procedures. Maintains current knowledge of relevant technology as assigned. Participates in special projects as required. Focused on identifying customer needs and maintaining customer satisfaction. Perform assigned additional duties (Vehicle Monitor, Local Records Maintenance, Site Safety representative, etc.) if/when selected. Project lead on tech refresh and upgrades for the EADS ADCS systems. Scheduling Alternate MPLS Node Site Coordinator Inventory accountability Equipment Assignment reconciliation Lead and Document EADS Training program Provide one-on-one training for site personnel Performance of Quality Assurance validation and reconciliation When required provide direct oversite of personnel/field office during the absence of the manager

Requirements

  • Must have an active Secret Level security clearance
  • Must hold active IAT II/ DoD 8140 (i.e.: Security+ CE) certification or higher
  • Must have High School Diploma and 3+ years’ experience; or equivalent
  • Must be onsite in Rome, NY

Nice To Haves

  • Working knowledge of Cisco system support/maintenance, VMware ESXi system support/maintenance, Active Directory, Windows Server 2019, HBSS, ACAS, SQL, SolarWinds, and Splunk preferred.
