You’ll manage resources thoughtfully, strengthen store partnerships, and play a key role in keeping our fueling operations running smoothly. Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED, preferred
  • 5+ years of Trade experience in fuel equipment and technology
  • 3+ years of management experience, preferably in retail fueling system applications
  • Gilbarco/Veeder Root knowledge and certification required
  • Competent in Microsoft Office and corporate software packages
  • Ability to manage a group of field associates in a team environment and collaborate with peer managers.

  • Must possess and maintain a Valid Driver’s License
  • Ability to lift/push/pull up to 72 lbs. occasionally
  • Ability to lift/push/pull up to 40 lbs. occasionally
  • May be asked to perform the following physical actions occasionally: standing, crouching, bending, reaching above the shoulders, reaching below the waist, reaching horizontally, squatting, climbing, kneeling, pushing, pulling, and grasping firmly
  • May be asked to withstand extreme environmental temperatures (hot and cold)
  • May have to work in wet conditions occasionally
  • Remain current with industry trends and codes related to fuel equipment systems.
  • Work in accordance with all Wawa Safety, API, and OSHA standards.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and lead a team of approximately 10-12 associates to complete agreed store services within cost and service level agreement (SLA) parameters.
  • Structures development opportunity for staff associates
  • Manage and is responsible for ensuring the proper safety and maintenance of technician vehicles and tools.
  • Manage technicians ensuring compliance with safety, environmental regulations and troubleshooting equipment malfunctions.
  • Ensure team of technicians stay current with related certifications and credentials.
  • Foster and maintain a positive relationship with store operations in assigned area.
  • Serve as technical expert related to equipment and process.
  • Act as a mentor for field technicians.
  • Collaborate with the Corporate Fuel Equipment team to assess stores’ needs and make recommendations for repair and replacement.
  • Maintain and manage all inventory repair and maintenance items stocked in tech vans and warehouses needed to support assigned stores.
  • Work with POS/IT Team and other specialists to resolve complex technical issues.
  • Responsible for responding to emergency calls. Provide on-site support when necessary to resolve issues.
  • Lead completion of demand work orders with prescribed SLAs, productivity and efficiency.
  • Manage completion of preventative maintenance programs to standard and within budget.
  • Provide overall direction and support for the team and monitor and assess individual work in accordance with high standards of excellence.
  • Provide feedback, coaching, support, opportunities for development, complete performance appraisals, take corrective action when appropriate, and participate in hiring decisions.
