Responsibilities As a Lead Gate Clerk at ConGlobal, will oversees daily gate operations, ensuring accurate equipment inspections, timely documentation, and exceptional customer service. This role provides frontline leadership to the gate team while coordinating closely with yard personnel to maintain safe, efficient terminal operations.
Requirements
- Experience in logistics, transportation, intermodal, or yard operations preferred
- Prior lead or senior-level experience strongly preferred
- Strong attention to detail and data entry accuracy
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and operational systems
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Open availability (all shifts, weekends, holidays) required
- Must pass a pre-employment background verification, physical and drug screening.
- The Federal Rail Administration sets and enforces safety regulations and standards for railroad operations. Use of cannabis is strictly prohibited. If applicable for the position you are applying to, and if you are offered the position, you will have to take and pass a drug screen.
Nice To Haves
- Experience in gate clerk, yard operations, or related field in an intermodal or logistics environment.
- Leadership or supervisory experience.
Responsibilities
- Lead and support daily gate operations to ensure smooth inbound/outbound processing
- Perform and audit inspections of trailers, chassis, and containers for accuracy and compliance
- Ensure timely and precise system updates and documentation
- Serve as escalation point for customer inquiries and equipment discrepancies
- Coordinate with yard and dispatch teams to optimize traffic flow and minimize delays
- Promote and enforce safety standards and regulatory compliance
- Support training and performance development of Gate Clerks
