Your experience will help shape how this company grows. The Job TruBlue of Newton–Wellesley is hiring a senior technician / field supervisor to help lead the field side of the business. Your job is simple to describe but hard to do well: accurately assess and estimate complex home repair and remodel projects, lead technicians in the field, and ensure multi‑day jobs run smoothly and professionally. This role will become the most senior field authority in the company. You will still work with tools, but you’ll also bring the leadership and judgment that keeps jobs running right. This role exists so the owner can focus on growing the business while you take ownership of how projects are executed day to day. Compensation & Total Value Package This is a leadership role with a path to running field operations. Competitive Salary: $80,000 – $90,000 based on experience and leadership capability, plus bonuses Company Truck & Fuel Card: Provided after onboarding Performance Incentives: Bonuses tied to profitable project completion and team performance Consistent Monday–Friday Hours: No on‑call rotations and no required weekend work Leadership Path: This role is designed to transition into a Field Operations Manager position as the company grows Professional Support: Full office support through Housecall Pro. Scheduling, billing, and collections are handled by the office so you can focus on the work Problems This Role Will Solve Our company is growing, but the field side of the business needs experienced leadership. You will take ownership of solving these problems: Accurately assessing and estimating multi‑day residential repair, renovation, and remodel projects Managing technicians so complex jobs stay on schedule and on budget Bringing credibility, structure, and leadership to field operations Turning complicated jobs into organized, well‑run projects This is not a basic technician role. You will help build the operational backbone of the company. Outcomes (First 12 Months) Multi‑day projects are scoped and estimated with confidence Technicians work more efficiently with experienced field leadership Customers trust our recommendations because problems are explained clearly and professionally The company stabilizes as a team of 4–5 technicians operating under strong field leadership, and then grows beyond that. Key Responsibilities

Requirements

  • 10–15 years of hands‑on residential construction, renovation, or home repair experience, including multi‑day projects such as kitchens, bathrooms, or similar remodel work
  • Strong working knowledge of carpentry, plumbing, and electrical
  • Ability to diagnose residential repair problems accurately
  • Experience leading or supervising technicians on job sites
  • Ability to command respect and bring structure to a crew
  • Confidence communicating with homeowners about repairs and solutions
  • Comfort using technology and field management software

Nice To Haves

  • Experience using technology to estimate projects or write scopes of work
  • Experience mentoring or training junior technicians

Responsibilities

  • Estimate and scope multi‑day residential repair and renovation projects including carpentry, plumbing, electrical, drywall, and related work
  • Visit customer homes, diagnose problems, and recommend practical repair solutions
  • Lead technicians on site to ensure jobs are completed correctly, safely, and efficiently
  • Make day‑to‑day project decisions without constant oversight
  • Step in to resolve unexpected issues when projects become more complex
  • Communicate clearly with homeowners about scope, timing, and solutions
  • Work with the office team using Housecall Pro to coordinate scheduling and workflow
  • Identify additional repair opportunities when they genuinely benefit the homeowner
