About The Position

The Lead Housing Technician is responsible for overseeing the daily operations, safety, and structure of ARC’s transitional housing program. This role serves as the on-site lead for residents and staff, ensuring a safe, supportive, and recovery-focused living environment while maintaining compliance with organizational policies, licensing requirements, and program expectations. The Lead Housing Technician acts as a key liaison between residents, clinical teams, housing staff, and leadership, supporting continuity of care and resident accountability during the transition from higher levels of care to independent living.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent required
  • Minimum two (2) years of experience in related field preferred
  • CPR/FA Certification – to be obtained within first 90 days
  • Fingerprint Clearance Card – to be obtained within first 90 days
  • Handle with Care – to be obtained within first 90 days
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to meet company driving requirements (if applicable)
  • Successful clearance of pre-employment criminal/county/state background check
  • Successful clearance of pre-employment drug and alcohol testing
  • Successful clearance of TB PPD testing upon hire and annual screening of TB symptoms
  • Attending clinical oversight with BHP once every 2 weeks worked for a minimum of 2 sessions per month.

Responsibilities

  • Program Oversight & Daily Operations Provide day-to-day oversight of transitional housing operations, ensuring a safe, structured, and supportive environment.
  • Monitor resident adherence to house rules, curfews, expectations, and program requirements.
  • Conduct routine walk-throughs of housing units to ensure cleanliness, safety, and maintenance needs are addressed.
  • Document and report safety concerns, incidents, or policy violations in accordance with ARC procedures.
  • Resident Support & Accountability Serve as a primary point of contact for residents regarding housing expectations, schedules, and concerns.
  • Support residents in maintaining accountability, structure, and compliance with treatment and recovery plans.
  • De-escalate conflicts or behavioral concerns and escalate issues appropriately when needed.
  • Participate in resident meetings, house meetings, and orientation of new residents.
  • Staff Leadership & Coordination Provide guidance and direction to Housing Technicians, Recovery Support Staff, or other assigned personnel.
  • Assist with onboarding and training of housing staff related to house operations, expectations, and documentation.
  • Communicate staffing needs, scheduling issues, and operational concerns to leadership.
  • Compliance & Documentation Ensure compliance with ARC policies, ADHS licensing standards, AHCCCS requirements, and applicable regulations.
  • Complete required documentation, logs, and reports accurately and timely.
  • Collaborate with clinical, case management, and operations teams to support resident transitions and discharges.
  • Maintain confidentiality and HIPAA compliance at all times.
  • Collaboration & Communication Work closely with clinical teams, case managers, and leadership to support continuity of care.
  • Communicate resident progress, concerns, and housing issues effectively and professionally.
  • Participate in meetings, trainings, and quality improvement initiatives as assigned.
