About The Position

Emerson has an exciting opportunity as a Lead HR Business Partner for our Boulder, CO location. In this role, you will play a pivotal role in enabling business performance through the people strategy. You will also partner closely with leaders to strengthen culture, develop talent, and drive engagement across critical teams. You’ll operate at the intersection of business strategy and employee experience—balancing regional complexity, global priorities, and HR initiatives to deliver meaningful impact where it matters most. Success in this role comes from truly understanding the business: its strategic direction, culture, and market dynamics. While you won’t have direct reports, you’ll act as a coach and mentor within the HR organization, influencing outcomes through expertise, partnership, and thoughtful leadership.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or a related field.
  • 8+ years of experience in a strategic HR role, preferably as an HR Business Partner.
  • Proven experience in talent management, organizational development, and culture transformation.
  • Strong coaching, consulting, and influencing skills with experience partnering with senior leaders.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong analytical ability and comfort translating data into actionable insights.
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States - Sponsorship will not be provided for this position now and in the future.

Nice To Haves

  • HR certification such as SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, SPHR, or GPHR.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with senior leaders to understand business goals and develop HR strategies that support organizational objectives.
  • Provide strategic HR consultation on organizational design, workforce planning, talent management, and succession planning.
  • Support identification and development of key talent and high-potential employees to ensure a strong leadership pipeline.
  • Lead talent management processes including performance management, leadership development, and employee engagement initiatives.
  • Partner with leaders to build strong teams and improve retention.
  • Design and implement organizational effectiveness strategies that improve performance, efficiency, and employee experience.
  • Analyze organizational data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement and innovation.
  • Drive culture initiatives aligned with company values and business objectives.
  • Lead and support change management efforts to ensure successful adoption of new processes, behaviors, and ways of working.
  • Partner with leaders to navigate transformation and growth.
  • Provide one-on-one coaching to senior leaders to enhance leadership capability and effectiveness.
  • Influence leaders to adopt best practices in people leadership.
  • Utilize HR metrics and insights to track effectiveness of HR initiatives and inform decision-making.
  • Prepare and present data and recommendations to senior leadership on key workforce trends.
