About The Position

As a Lead Hyperion EPM Systems Architect & Administrator, you will serve as a recognized subject matter expert, leading the strategic development, administration, and optimization of our Oracle Hyperion EPM landscape. This role involves shaping the architecture and direction of our financial reporting, consolidation, and planning systems to meet complex organizational demands, ensuring robust infrastructure, data integrity, and compliance. You will drive innovation in EPM solutions, engage with senior stakeholders, and mentor high-performing technical teams to deliver advanced capabilities that support critical business objectives.

Requirements

• 10+ years of progressive professional experience specializing in the administration, architecture, and development of Oracle Hyperion EPM suites, specifically HFM, FDMEE, Essbase, and Planning.
• Demonstrated ability to lead complex EPM projects that require strategic decision-making and cross-functional stakeholder engagement.
• Expert-level command of financial consolidation, planning, and reporting processes, coupled with a deep understanding of US GAAP standards relevant to EPM system design.
• Extensive hands-on experience with advanced scripting (VB, Jython, MaxL, Perl), metadata management, and rule enhancements within Hyperion applications.
• Proven track record in configuring, patching, backing up, recovering, and performance tuning large-scale Hyperion EPM environments, ideally within AWS.

• Recognized industry certifications in Oracle Hyperion EPM or cloud platforms (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect).
• Experience serving as an SME in a global enterprise environment, providing technical leadership and mentoring to junior professionals.
• Strong understanding of Oracle RDBMS, SQL, and Unix Shell scripting for advanced system integration and automation.

Responsibilities

• Shape and lead the strategic direction for Oracle Hyperion EPM solutions, including HFM, FDMEE, Essbase, and Planning, to align with evolving financial and business requirements.
• Drive the architectural design, implementation, and optimization of the Hyperion EPM AWS landscape, ensuring scalability, security, and peak performance for all critical financial processes.
• Serve as the primary technical authority for complex Hyperion application functionality, guiding the development, modification, and testing of advanced metadata hierarchies, business rules, and scripting (VB, Jython, MaxL, Perl).
• Oversee and enhance the global month-end closing and planning/budgeting processes within HFM and FDMEE, providing expert guidance to Controllers and resolving complex data validation issues across diverse financial structures.
• Formulate and execute comprehensive compliance strategies for SOX financial system requirements, collaborating directly with internal and external audit teams to ensure adherence and mitigate risks.
• Develop and deploy advanced testing methodologies, including test data generation and comprehensive test script execution, to ensure the integrity and reliability of integrated EPM systems.
• Cultivate and disseminate expert-level knowledge across the organization through global user training programs, publishing authoritative reference materials, and establishing best practices for Hyperion EPM utilization.
• Initiate and lead continuous improvement initiatives for the Hyperion EPM environment, leveraging deep technical expertise and industry trends to enhance system capabilities and user experience.
