About The Position

Install Lead – VDLA, LLC d/b/a R.A. Hoy Heating and Air Conditioning is looking to fill two (2) Install Lead positions in Kitty Hawk, NC to work approximately 04/01/2026 to 10/31/2026. This is a temporary, full-time, peak load position.

Requirements

  • Requires 2 years of experience
  • EPA Certification for Refrigerant to be acquired within first 2 months of employment
  • Must pass drug screening and background check

Responsibilities

  • Supervisor of job site
  • Install HVAC equipment, ductwork, and zoning
  • Install air conditioning (HVAC) systems to improve efficiency, such as by changing filters, cleaning ducts, and refilling non-toxic refrigerants
  • Install auxiliary components to cooling equipment, such as expansion or discharge valves, air ducts, pipes, blowers, dampers, flues, or stokers

  • Transportation is provided to the worksite and client sites.
  • A work truck and gas card will be provided to the employee.
  • Employee will travel daily to client worksites located within Dare and Currituck counties.
  • Benefits take effect the 1st of the month after hire date including Health, Dental, Vision, Short Term, and Long Term.
  • Employer will provide transportation to the worksite free of charge; however, if employee fails to complete 50% of the work contract period, employer may withhold reasonable cost of transportation from employee’s final paycheck.
  • If the worker completes 50% of the work contract period, employer will reimburse the worker for subsistence from the place of recruitment to the place of work.
  • Upon completion of the work contract or where the worker is dismissed earlier, employer will provide or pay for worker's reasonable costs of return transportation and subsistence back home or to the place the worker originally departed to work, except where the worker will not return due to subsequent employment with another employer.
  • The amount of transportation payment or reimbursement will be equal to the most economical and reasonable common carrier for the distances involved.
  • Subsistence will be at least $16.28 per day of travel to a maximum of $68.00 per day with documentation of actual expenses.
  • Employer will provide or pay the reasonable costs for lodging where lodging is necessary.
  • Employer will reimburse worker in the first workweek for all visa, visa processing, border crossing, and other related fees, including those mandated by the government, incurred by the worker.
