About The Position

We are thrilled to announce that we are seeking dedicated Lead LPNs to join our dynamic clinical team! As a Lead LPN, you will play a vital role in supporting the Nurse Manager and providers in coordinating exceptional patient care and ensuring the delivery of high-quality, competent nursing services. This exciting position requires a strong understanding of organizational policies, procedures, and the Staff Nursing Manual, along with the ability to guide and collaborate with other clinical support staff.

Requirements

  • Current, unencumbered LPN license in state of practice.
  • Current CPR/BLS, AED, and First Aid certification.

Nice To Haves

  • 1+ year experience in a behavioral health treatment setting.
  • Background in Substance Use Treatment and Co-occurring Disorders.
  • Prior supervisory or team lead experience.

Responsibilities

  • Report client concerns, status changes, and staff issues directly to the Nurse Manager.
  • Seek supervision from the Nurse Manager or physician for nursing assessments, transfers, discharges, treatment plans, progress notes, medication reconciliation/administration, vitals, and detox protocols (under RN supervision).
  • Participate in treatment team meetings and relay relevant information to the department.
  • Collaborate with providers and interdisciplinary staff to address client needs and coordinate care, including guidance for Medical Assistants, Med Techs, Nursing Assistants, and BHTs.
  • Complete and oversee timely documentation for client care, including screenings, assessments, discharges, incident reports, authorizations, pharmacy orders, and treatment planning.
  • Review bed board daily and communicate concerns with Admissions.
  • Ensure accurate and timely medication administration; report medication errors to Nurse Manager.
  • Assist in orienting new staff and provide constructive feedback; escalate concerns as appropriate.
  • Monitor functionality of medical equipment and ensure completion of daily logs and calibration documentation.
  • Manage facility Narcan kit administration, documentation, and compliance.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
