About The Position

The Logistics Operator Lead is a key operational leader responsible for overseeing and coordinating all logistics functions, including Receiving, Receiving Inspection, Stock Rooms, Kitting, Expediting, and Kanban processes. This role ensures seamless material flow, inventory accuracy, and timely support to production and customer requirements. The Logistics Lead drives continuous improvement, ensures compliance, and fosters cross-functional collaboration to meet business goals.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in logistics, warehouse, or supply chain operations.
  • Proven leadership in service, production, or support roles
  • Strong understanding of logistics processes, inventory systems, and SAP.
  • Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and multitasking skills.
  • Effective communicator with strong interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word.
  • Forklift certified and valid driver’s license required.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work flexible hours/shifts.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
  • Subject to FAA random drug and alcohol testing.
  • Commitment to continuous improvement and Lean principles.

Nice To Haves

  • Associate degree or Technical Certification preferred.
  • HAZMAT certification preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and coordinate logistics operations across multiple functional areas to support production and customer delivery schedules.
  • Manage AOG (Aircraft on Ground) and international shipments, ensuring timely communication and execution.
  • Monitor and resolve SAP exceptions, ensuring data integrity and timely closure of open items.
  • Track and report daily Fill Rate performance; drive actions to meet service level targets.
  • Oversee inventory control activities including cycle counts, stock accuracy, and location management.
  • Drive expediting efforts for production shortages, collaborating with internal teams and external partners.
  • Attend production status meetings and provide timely updates to leadership.
  • Ensure proper documentation and compliance for domestic and international shipments, including hazardous materials.
  • Supervise receiving, sorting, and shipping processes, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
  • Manage RMA (Return Material Authorization) and stock return processes for repaired or re-certified materials.
  • Operate warehouse equipment safely and maintain required certifications (e.g., forklift, order picker).
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance logistics performance and customer satisfaction.
  • Maintain clear communication with internal stakeholders and external customers.
  • Ensure all logistics activities comply with regulatory requirements (OSHA, FAA, EPA, etc.).
