About The Position

Are you a skilled tradesperson who enjoys problem-solving, variety, and working with your hands? Bavarian Inn Restaurant is hiring a Lead Maintenance Technician to handle day-to-day repairs and preventive maintenance across our busy 90,000 square foot property — including 3 commercial kitchens, 12 dining rooms, full-scale production bakery, and six retail shops. This role is ideal for someone who’s mechanically inclined, self-motivated, and confident working with a variety of systems like electrical, plumbing, HVAC, refrigeration, and kitchen equipment. Our maintenance team takes pride in doing the job right – with quality craftsmanship, consistency, and a little good humor along the way. If you like fixing things, solving problems, and being the person others count on to keep things running — we’d love to meet you. This position involves hands-on work across multiple systems and departments, often in time-sensitive or high-pressure situations. You’ll be responsible for identifying issues quickly, executing effective repairs, and maintaining a calm, solution-focused approach while doing it. Tasks include routine maintenance, emergency repairs, and proactive troubleshooting of: Commercial Kitchen Equipment (fryers, ovens, dishwashers, mixers) Plumbing (grease traps, dish lines, water lines, valves, drains) Electrical (lighting, outlets, panels, motors) Refrigeration & HVAC (walk-in freezers & coolers, ice machines, boilers) Welding & Fabrication (equipment frames, custom parts, repairs) At this time, our team is currently seeking someone who brings strong commercial refrigeration skills to the table — especially when it comes to troubleshooting and maintaining walk-ins, reach-ins, and freezer units.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of facility or industrial maintenance experience
  • Universal EPA Certification (Types I, II, III)
  • Proficiency in commercial kitchen equipment repairs
  • Solid working knowledge of electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems
  • Ability to weld and fabricate basic components
  • Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills
  • Friendly and optimistic demeanor with the ability to maintain composure under pressure
  • Must be available for rotating shifts, weekends, and holidays
