Requirements

  • Must have a High School Diploma or GED
  • 6 months experience in a manufacturing environment
  • One to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Must be able to pass a background check and drug screen

Responsibilities

  • Follow, comply and enforce all operational procedures/policies as stated in the employee Environmental Health and Safety programs (Magna and OSHA Standards).
  • Drives forklift as needed and assists with the storage, tagging, loading, and unloading of parts in production as well as shipping
  • Performs cycle counts or coordinates cycle counting activity.
  • Ensures that inventory transactions are performed correctly
  • Look for efficient travel routes and strategic storage locations to minimize travel of the fork trucks
  • Ensure all drivers are adhering to safe handling practices
  • Verify all vehicle inspections are completed each day
  • Ensure material is stacked safely in all storage areas
  • Make sure changeover racks are in side in sufficient time for the changeover
  • Break relief as required
  • Performs analysis of inventory discrepancies and reports them to management.
  • Perform other duties as required.
