About The Position

The Lead Project Manager oversees all construction and execution activities associated with large load customer infrastructure, ensuring projects remain on schedule for long‑lead equipment, transmission buildouts, permitting, and multi‑disciplinary dependencies. This role provides day‑to‑day cross‑functional leadership to ensure construction is aligned with customer COD timelines and system needs. Job OverviewEmployees in this role develop and execute plans for new and enhanced generation projects. This job is responsible for resource allocation, schedules, cost and technical adequacy, ensuring the project or transaction is completed in the most cost effective and competitive manner. This position manages all aspects of the business deal and ensures the project is completed timely and within budgetary constraints.

Requirements

  • 5-7 years in utility construction management, transmission, or major capital project delivery.
  • Demonstrated success coordinating multi‑disciplinary teams.
  • Excellent communication skills for cross‑functional coordination.
  • High School Grad/GED
  • Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent Experience
  • Experience: 3+ years

Responsibilities

  • Lead day‑to‑day coordination of construction activities supporting large load customer site development, transmission, and interconnection timelines, ensuring timely energization.
  • Manage construction activities required to energize large load projects, coordinating with Power Delivery, Engineering, ISC, and Development.
  • Ensure project sequencing with long‑lead equipment procurement and transmission development requirements.
  • Maintain continuous customer interface on construction progress, load planning assumptions, and COD sequencing to ensure transparency and alignment.
  • Identify critical-path risks and drive cross‑functional mitigation actions to maintain schedule certainty.
  • Coordinate construction reporting, progress tracking, and executive updates.
  • Manages all aspects of the day to day transaction process to ensure timely completion as well as a cost effective and competitive result
  • Leads and coordinates key functions such as financial feasibility analyses, engineering/design, project legal review, permitting activities and financial negotiations
  • Coordinates due diligence activities with other internal groups to ensure proper analysis and structuring of assigned projects
  • Acts as liaison between internal and external specialists regarding procurement, contracting, permitting and interconnection
  • Constructs contractual arrangements for project development
  • Negotiates agreements with consultants and subcontractors
  • Ensures compliance with applicable technical and regulatory requirements
  • Fosters external relationships with customers, third parties and members of the community
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned
