About The Position

The Lead Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) will work under the supervision of a BCBA and train new RBTs and RBT candidates to deliver high-quality Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) services to individuals with autism and other developmental disabilities. The Lead RBT will ensure that behavior intervention plans are implemented with fidelity and will provide training and support to new hires. This position requires strong leadership skills, a thorough understanding of ABA principles, and the ability to communicate effectively with team members, clients, and their families.

Requirements

  • Current RBT certification from the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB).
  • Minimum of 1 years of experience as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT), with a proven track record of success in implementing ABA interventions.
  • Strong understanding of ABA principles, data collection, and behavior management techniques.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with families, clients, and team members.
  • Detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and client confidentiality.
  • Passion for working with individuals with autism and other developmental disabilities.
  • Currently in good standing with the organization.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous leadership experience or experience in mentoring or training other RBTs preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Train new RBTs and RBT candidates
  • Assist in the onboarding and training of new RBTs and RBT candidates by allowing new hires to shadow during your sessions.
  • Model the implementation of client programs, daily schedules and data collection in Central Reach.
  • Model and train skills in the current edition of the BACB Task List for RBT candidates.
  • Model and train on medical documentation of session notes.
  • Implement ABA-based interventions for clients with autism or other developmental disorders, following treatment plans developed by the BCBA.
  • Collect and record accurate data on client behavior, skill acquisition, and progress.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with clients and their families, providing regular updates on client progress.
  • Ensure effective communication between the therapy team and families regarding client needs, progress, and any behavioral concerns.
  • Monitor and maintain the integrity of data collection during shadowing sessions, ensuring that new team members are collecting data accurately and consistently.
  • Report any concerns or discrepancies to the BCBA and assist in addressing them.
  • Model adherence to ethical guidelines and clinical best practices in ABA therapy for new hires.
  • Stay current with developments in the field of ABA and contribute to a culture of continuous learning.
  • Adhere to clinic policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements to ensure the highest level of care and client satisfaction.
