In this leadership role, you will drive technical direction, mentor engineering teams, and ensure the successful design, integration, and delivery of cutting edge electronics and communication solutions. We are looking for a strong technical leader who is a self starter, thrives in complex environments, and can operate with minimal oversight while influencing both engineering outcomes and team success.As a Lead RF Engineer, you will be a key technical authority, regularly coordinating cross disciplinary efforts across software, hardware, mechanical, and product engineering teams. You will shape system architectures, oversee analysis and design activities, and engage with customers and stakeholders to ensure solutions meet mission and end user needs.

Requirements

  • 9 years relevant industry experience with a Bachelor’s in a related field; 7 years with a Master’s; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Must be a U.S. citizen and able to obtain and maintain a security clearance
  • Proven ability to lead cross functional engineering teams
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including customer and stakeholder interaction
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze, troubleshoot, and guide resolution of complex RF system issues
  • Strong knowledge of RF circuit design, including amplifiers, filters, and RF components
  • Experience in RF analysis, requirements derivation, and system level design

Nice To Haves

  • Experience leading RF/digital test and measurement activities
  • RF front end design leadership experience
  • Familiarity with EW, radar, and/or communications technologies and wireless PHY layers
  • Experience in signal detection, classification, direction finding, and geolocation systems
  • Proficiency in MATLAB modeling and simulation (Simulink a plus); familiarity with Python or LabVIEW for rapid prototyping and test automation
  • Experience leading concept development and rapid prototyping efforts
  • Existing SECRET clearance strongly preferred

Responsibilities

  • Lead RF analysis activities, driving requirements development and system architecture decisions
  • Direct modeling and simulation of complex embedded RF systems
  • Oversee design, development, documentation, and testing of RF circuits and systems, including amplifiers and antennas
  • Lead hands on testing, troubleshooting, and validation using spectrum analyzers, signal generators, oscilloscopes, and network analyzers
  • Provide technical leadership for software defined radio (SDR) systems, waveform development, and integration
  • Mentor, train, and guide junior and mid level engineers, fostering technical growth and collaboration
  • Coordinate multi disciplinary engineering efforts to deliver high quality products on schedule
  • Serve as a primary technical interface with customers, management, and other stakeholders
