About The Position

Securitas is seeking an experienced Lead Security Officer to join our overnight team in Framingham, MA. This role works alongside other Lead Officers and site leadership to support daily operations, maintain high standards, and help guide officers on shift. This opportunity is ideal for candidates with prior supervisory, managerial, military, law enforcement, or strong security experience who are ready to step into a leadership-support role. As a Lead Security Officer, you will perform advanced security functions while supporting shift operations and mentoring officers on duty. While not the sole lead on site, you will be expected to demonstrate leadership, accountability, and sound judgment at all times. You will help ensure post orders are followed, incidents are handled professionally, and client expectations are consistently met.

Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
  • Reliable transportation and communication.
  • Legal right to work in the United States.
  • Ability to effectively read, write, and speak English.
  • Strong leadership presence and accountability.
  • Excellent observation and critical-thinking skills.
  • Ability to remain calm and decisive under pressure.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Intermediate computer proficiency (report writing, security systems, email).

Nice To Haves

  • Prior supervisory, lead, or managerial experience in security or a related field.
  • Minimum 1–2 years of security experience.
  • Military or law enforcement background is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Provide direction and guidance to officers during your shift.
  • Support enforcement of site policies, procedures, and post orders.
  • Assist with training and onboarding of new officers.
  • Collaborate with other Lead Officers and site leadership to maintain operational consistency.
  • Conduct interior and exterior patrols.
  • Monitor CCTV and access control systems.
  • Enforce access control procedures and verify credentials.
  • Maintain a visible, professional security presence.
  • Respond promptly to alarms, disturbances, medical emergencies, or safety hazards.
  • Utilize strong de-escalation skills to manage conflicts.
  • Complete clear, accurate, and detailed incident reports.
  • Escalate significant matters appropriately to site leadership or emergency services.
  • Interact with employees, visitors, and vendors in a professional manner.
  • Provide assistance and information while maintaining strong security awareness.
  • Uphold ethical standards and company policies at all times.
