Lead Software Engineer - Test & Verification Company: The Boeing Company The Boeing Company is looking for a Lead Software Engineer - Test & Verification to join the USAF E-7A Mission Systems Software Integration & Test team located in Tukwila, Washington. This position will focus on supporting the Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) Software Engineering organization, Mobility, Surveillance, and Bombers (MS&B) division. Develop next generation Open Mission Software (OMS) Battle Management Command & Control (BMC2) Software primarily for USAF E-7A, but also supporting other Airborne Surveillance, Command and Control (ASC2) programs like E-3 AWACS, 767 AWACS, and other 737 Airborne Early Warning & Control Aircraft. These aircraft represent the world’s standard for airborne early warning and control systems, filling the need for both command and control functions for tactical and air defense forces, take a look at our video: https://youtu.be/nqzG2ORPJgI?si=KpBHcojc3CE7Rgsq Position Responsibilities: As the Technical Lead Engineer (TLE), oversees the design, development, and completion of test and verification of software products to ensure quality, reliability, and functionality Partners with stakeholders and advise on the review and identification of software requirements, test objectives, test strategies, and testability Reviews the design of test plans, cases, and scenarios to meet software requirements and specifications Oversees executing test cases and scenarios to verify functionality, performance, and safety of software systems, identifying and reporting defects, issues, and potential vulnerabilities found during testing processes Consults on test results and feedback on software design and functionality to resolve defects, issues, and potential vulnerabilities Oversees creating, documenting, and maintaining test plans, procedures, cases, artifacts, metrics, and data in accordance with data privacy and security protocols and standards Leads the development and maintenance of automated test scripts and frameworks to improve efficiency and effectiveness of testing processes Oversees software project management functions across test and verification activities involving multifunctional teams Leads the set up and configuration of test environments, including hardware, software, and network configurations to replicate production environments This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options. Security Clearance and Export Control Requirements: This position requires the ability to obtain a Secret U.S. Security Clearance for which the US Government requires U.S. Citizenship. Ability to obtain Secret U.S. Security clearance (Post-Start).
