About The Position

The Lead Supply Planner for NPI Supply Planning & Inventory Management is responsible for driving end‑to-end planning activities across wafer, substrate, assembly, test, logistics, and inventory flows to support new product introduction (NPI) programs. This role partners closely with global cross‑functional teams—including Engineering, Product, OSATs, Foundry, PE/TE, Quality, and Business Units—to ensure supply readiness, risk mitigation, and operational execution from NPI to HVM transition Rambus offers a flexible work environment, embracing a hybrid approach for most office-based roles. Employees are encouraged to spend an average of at least three days per week onsite, allowing for two days of remote work.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience in semiconductor supply chain, planning, operations, or related functions.
  • Strong analytical skills and experience with planning tools, ERP/MRP systems, and inventory management.
  • Ability to work independently, make timely decisions, and manage multiple priorities under pressure.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate across diverse global teams.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Operations Management, Business, Engineering, or related field.
  • Flexibility to work across US and APAC time zones.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience coordinating with OSATs, foundry partners, substrate management and test houses strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in developing and maintaining NPI supply plans to support product demand and inventory targets including wafer start, substrate planning, assembly/test loading and hardware readiness.
  • Analyze NPI sample forecasts to anticipate demand and secure supply availability.
  • Coordinate cross‑functionally to ensure readiness across test programs, hardware, and OSAT capacity.
  • Identify potential supply risks (capacity, material, quality, readiness) and drive mitigation plans with internal and external partners.
  • Own NPI inventory visibility and reporting—materials, substrates, WIP, and finished goods.
  • Drive inventory action plans to maintain appropriate levels while minimizing excess and obsolescence.
  • Support cycle‑count, inventory audits, and warehouse management processes.
  • Standardize and improve NPI planning processes, including readiness tracking, build plan governance, and NPI → HVM transition controls.
